Text Box: Friday the 11th November - This is when our show starts because we have to erect all the pens on the Friday so that we are completely prepared for the events that take place on Saturday , mind you it starts even earlier for Dave Walters having to sort out all the paperwork at least a week before the show. It only seems like a couple of months ago when we were clearing up from the last show that's how quick they seem to come around these days. The weather could not have been nicer more like a spring day than a late autumn day. We had 240 birds entered for the show which was rather pleasing considering the fanciers unable to attend for one reason or another. As always there are lots of people to thank for the success of any show but i am not going to attempt to name any for fear of accidentally missing out someone but you all know who you are and how mush your efforts are appreciated. I must make one special mention as it was great to see Damien Clarke from Ireland taking the time to fly over just to attend the show. Alan Hall (Doncaster) and Nick Jackson (Grimsby) made the effort to come to Bristol when it would of been easier to go to another show on that day thanks for your efforts lads. Apart from the normal cups of tea and the run of bacon sandwiches we had outside caterers to cover for the main meals which was a three course dinner and everyone left clean plates and were raving about the quality of the food again a special thanks. A full list of the results are shown separately Click Here but the main winners were as follows Best Exhibition Tippler went to Nigel Solly with his Silver Bar. Best West went to Pete Holland with his Yellow saddle hen making this bird a Federation Champion and making Pete a Federation Master Breeder and the icing on the cake is that this bird went on to be Best Bird in show - Congratulations Pete. Best Flying Tippler went to Mike Murphy for his Blue Bar Young Cock another well presented bird for the Murphy loft. It's all cleared away for another year and we look forward to your continued support next year. Terry Little PRO Bristol
